Additional Requirements and Notes

-  Students must successfully complete the Illinois and United States Constitution tests.

-  Students not enrolled in a college prep program are normally expected to take a physical education (or health) class during every semester of enrollment.  Exceptions do apply within the State of Illinois School Code ( see the Principal for details).

English I & IV are writing intensive courses as defined by the graduation requirements of the State of Illinois

** If a student is at CORLHS for less than four years and therefore does not earn four credits of theology, the required number of electives will increase because 26 credits are still required for graduation.

Assumptions

-  CORLHS will focus on the basics, encouraging students to take a complete load of English, math, science and social studies classes.

-  All students will have a theology class every day.

-  CORLHS will have an 8 period day (approximately 45 minute periods), and students will have to take at least 7 academic classes (with the 8th class possibly being a study period).

-  Fine arts will be stressed as students will be required to take at least two years of fine arts.

-  The core classes will be offered at CORLHS, while other options for classes will be available, including dual credit with Kaskaskia College and internet/correspondence courses.
